Important Dates!
- August 2nd, 6-8pm-Tackle only- at the Sprague high school parking lot south of the stadium-helmet and shoulder pad fitting and handout.
-August 5th-tackle practices begin. We are recommending this year that these “conditioning practices” be helmeted to better acclimate the kids to their helmets before we introduce padded practices the next week.
-August 6th-8th-5:30-7pm at Olympic stadium-Sprague youth camp. We recognize these dates/times will also coincide with the conditioning practice times. We will count camp hours as conditioning hours and encourage each tackle team to hold an additional hour practice after camp is complete. This will also be a coaches clinic opportunity where our volunteer coaches will be taught by the Sprague high school coaching staff.
-August 9th-remaining tackle gear (pants, practice jersey, game jersey) will be handed out. We will try to coordinate this based on practice schedules.
-August 19th-Flag practices begin.
-August 24th -Tackle only-Jamboree, Salem Academy, timing TBD
-September 7th-Games begin
2024 Oly Summer Camp
Oly Youth Summer camp will be August 6-8th, 5:30-7pm @ Sprague High School Stadium.

Volunteers and Coaches Background Check
We are looking for coaches and volunteers to help with the teams and gamedays. If you interested in coaching or volunteering to help your team then please register as a coach or volunteer. We cannot run teams of tackle and flag without coaches and volunteers. Anyone that may be in contact with the players must complete a background check and the federal abuse prevention training.

Sprague Youth Football is a part of TVYFL
The Tualatin Valley football league is a tackle based football program for 3rd through 8th grade youth in the Tualatin Valley and Portland metropolitan area in Oregon. With over 50 associations, the program now boasts over 6,500 players and 500+ volunteer coaches.
The TVYFL is a non-profit football club, whose goal is to provide safe and enjoyable athletic competition. Good sportsmanship, fun developing student athletes and individual growth are our main goals.
